What's better than sittin' around the BBQ pit with your buddies, drinkin' beer and slow-smokin' a brisket?

What's better is buying a brisket at the grocery store and bringing it to us at Neal's. With pricing based on the raw weight, we'll smoke it, wrap it, and give it back to you ready-to-slice. That way you can keep drinking beer with your buddies and you don't have to get up to check on the meat!

We smoke just about any kind of meat you can eat. So bring us your trophy with the fur, feathers, and scales removed and we'll take care of the rest. Don’t be shy about bringing us your wild things—for over twenty-one years we’ve smoked it all. We've smoked anything from from trophy antelope, grand-prize auction chickens and rare African beasts to white-tail deer, wild turkeys, wild boar, and, more commonly, brisket someone “found” in their freezer!

One tip to make sure you bring us a good brisket---buy the "packer trim" or "untrimmed" brisket, the kind with the fat still on it. Choose a brisket that you can bend---cold, lean meat bends and cold animal fat is hard and unbendable. So, the more it bends the leaner it is. It still needs that fat cap covering it during smoking to keep it moist, but we can de-fat it and slice it any way you like. If it's sold on a foam meat tray, it's the wrong kind of brisket.

We smoke meats year round, and holidays are always a busy time for our BBQ pit. Bring in your “free” turkey from your local grocer and let us turn it into your holiday centerpiece. Please bring in your meat thawed, or if frozen, be sure to bring it in early enough to allow time for thawing.

If you don't have meat for us to smoke, just call ahead and order meat by the pound. We offer sliced beef, chopped brisket, link sausage, pork spare ribs, and half BBQ chickens on our regular take-out menu.
